The client

As a multi-disciplined partner, our role was to deliver UX research and design, mock-ups, a UI design system, and bespoke development as a managed project.

Finance in Vodafone is on a journey of digital transformation; working to digitise their monthly country reporting process, better leverage their financial data, surface new insights, and realise value opportunities sooner.

The challenge

Like many Global companies, Vodafone uses the industry benchmark of software for financial reporting to collect performance data from subsidiary countries, and to consolidate the Group’s results. Whilst standard off-the-shelf financial software packages serve their core purpose well, they are limited in their abilities to provide flexible insights through data analytics, and do not offer sufficient capabilities to facilitate monthly financial reviews within the package.

  • Workshops and user testing conducted to gather valuable insights
  • User flow diagrams, wireframes, and red routing to ensure all users were considered
  • Atomic UI design system created to expedite page design and ensure consistency
  • React-based UI library built in Storybook to ensure build consistency and scalability

The project

Project outline

Working in partnership with Canvas Reply, Vodafone wanted to create a fully digital solution upon which, as a global company, they could execute their monthly reviews of regions and countries results, and surface valuable insights through on-the-fly analytics, within a single, simple, and slick user interface.

Project outcome

Canvas Reply’s brief was to design, build, and implement a new web-based UI, as a presentation layer, on top of a Qlik Sense® finance data model that structures data pulled from their underlying Oracle® Hyperion (HFM) & Essbase repositories.
